Checking Out Library Materials

Your library card must be presented each time you check out materials.
If the item you are looking for is not available:

Request all new materials and bestsellers at the owning library.

Many popular books are on waiting lists. Holds can be placed for books currently checked out.

If the item you are looking for is not in the computer catalog, arrangements may be made through interlibrary loan to borrow the item from another library system in Virginia or another state.
